Update
Following the good advice given in this thread I Googled machine shops and discovered one tucked back in a little subdivision less that two miles from where I work. I drove up there during lunch today and met an interesting fellow with a Glock on his hip and a whole building full of really cool machines. Needless to say once I saw the Glock I knew I had picked the right shop!
10 minutes later I walked out with a barrel that was 0.015" shorter. He charged me the princely sum of $5 for the effort!
I'll reinstall it tonight and post a follow up once I get a chance to pull the trigger again.
