I like CCI 450 magnum small rifle primers.
They are the highest pressure primer I have found.

I like Nosler Ballistic tip bullets on ruminants for a fast long range kill.
I like Hornady Vmax bullets on rodents for an explosive long range kill.
I like Kraft jet puffed miniature marshmallows to lure the raccoons to where I can shoot them.
I like Hodgdon extreme powders, especially H4350 for hunting over a wide temperature range.

I like Copper plated shot in my 12 gauge for shooting birds.

I have such a limited choice in components that it is a bit difficult to say. My favourite is the one I can get!

Still, so far I have been very happy with the VV powders I have bought. I've so far experienced N110, N320, N350, N135 and N140 and all perform very well for my needs.

Beyond that, I'd say that N&H plated bullets make for easy reloading and make decent plinkers.

Different strokes for different folks. But my favorites are:

Rifle - Hornady A-Max or V-Max bullets.
Pistol - Remington hollow points or Speer Gold Dots, Hornady XTP's.
Rifle powder - H-335, IMR-4350, IMR 8208 or most favorite H-4895.
Pistol Powder - Win-231.

I am forever hunting for h4831 and reloader 22 where I live. Load 243, 270, and 300 win mag and these 2 are just the best and never to be found. I found a container of each of them...once...just enough to know that they truly are king in those cartridges...no able to find them again...imr 4350 and 7828 have worked almost as good though, an 4064 gives good economy...as for bullets....270 140gr btsp interlock, .308 208 amax, .243 speer 100 gr btsp

I’m right there with most of you with using what I can find but I found that my favorite powder for every pistol caliber I have is Bullseye. It just works and is a lot cleaner than most of the powders I’ve tried. I use Tula Primers primarily but will sub CCI if push comes to shove. I cast and powder all my own bullets for my calibers so I have no opinion of commercial bullets and all my brass is retired range brass that someone left.

For reloading the 7.92x39(The only rifle I reload for …..right now) I use my own bullets, Tula large primers, Winchester brass, and Unique for the powder. Makes for great target loads with barely any recoil. Lots of fun.

Bullseye

Okay. Well. . .

Bullseye almost always burns completely; so it leaves behind no sooty stuff or half-burned flakes. In that sense, yes, it's clean. It freely ignites and that's one of its best traits. An excellent trait to have when consistency is important. And consistency is almost always important in the applications in which Bullseye is used (target, match).

But Bullseye is very . . "residuey." It leaves behind a lot of film that is almost oily in texture. It's super fine and rarely fouls; but I'd hardly characterize it as "clean." Quite messy, actually.

DGMW, I love Bullseye. It's great stuff. I'm looking at 3 Lbs of it right now. It's my go to for match loads for 38 Special. I just don't think of it as clean.
