just took a look at the cdnn site, the factory wood are the ones that come on the diamondback. they are designed/scaled down to give the d-frame a python look.

the wood is not as nice as currently on your gun, has a sorta plastic finish on them. but they don't look bad if you sand throught the finish...plus there's plenty of wood to whittle on there, much more than a python.

I have one identical to that shown except mine was made in the early 70's. Gold medallions and a more curved trigger which requires a little getting used to.Excellent piece.

bk40: not me, I shoot my Colts.

Now my model 1955 browning 380 (pre-68 GCA and produced in 1967) was so nice at 95% that I had to get a spare. Found a 1965 production twin 100% new in box with all papers and warrantee card. Never fired.

Thanks for the link Rusty. Can't go wrong for $10 plus I've been meaning to pick up a few 17rd HP mags from CDNN anyways ;)

If I cannot find a 2nd DS to my liking I will be shooting and perhaps carrying this one.
