Looks like the magna ported CA called the back packer that was out in the 80's. I always wanted one but they were rare and to expensive for me
back then,

without getting into the expansion / penitration wars... I find the gun interesting... though I prefer a front sight, if for nothing else, balance & looks...

BTW... I find my 396 easy to shoot without any ports, but it is a 3" barrel

Front sight doesn't need to be anything clunky or something that would snag or hang up...

my 45 Colt snubbie for example...
