West Virginia is currently $90.00 for a 5-year license - $75.00 when applying and $15.00 when you pick up the license from the Sheriff. A safety class is also required.

The West Virginia Citizens Defense League (WVCDL) was successful this year in fighting back a raise in cost to $120.00. WV is already the highest cost CHL of the neighboring states (not counting the Peoples Republic of Maryland).

I believe its $60 for 5 years in Kentucky. There was a lifetime proposal that would have cost $100 but I haven't seen any action on the billl in a while so it may be dead.

150 dollars for the class (this could vary among instructors, I never looked into this)

94 dollars for the non-refundable permit fee.
