Can a Glock be modified to suit me?

An XD is considered single action and is an IDPA ESP, not SSP.

Thats too bad, It would seem it's close to what I'm looking for. Is that why you don't see alot of departments carrying them?

I guess it's either dump a lot of money into a Glock and get mostly what I want, or dump less into an M&P and come close. I might be leaning a little toward the M&P now I guess, the grip angle is right (which sounds expensive to mess with on a Glock), sights probably get changed either way, the trigger might be the only disadvantage, but the gun is pretty new so maybe the aftermarket just hasn't caught up yet. It looks like I don't have to swap the barrel to practice with lead reloads either. Thanks for all the replies!

An XD is much closer to what you are looking for. The only drawback is that you would have to shoot ESP instead of SSP. XD is considered single action by IDPA and therefore illegal in SSP.
