Calif. Assembly bans open carry of unloaded guns

Jerry Brown may be more reasonable than some of y'all are giving him credit for being....

“I’ve got three guns and one dog,” he [Brown] told the Alliance of California Law Enforcement....

Note that, though Brown backed a “moratorium on the sale of guns” in 1992, in 2009 he filed a brief supporting the incorporation of the Second Amendment against the states and concluding that people have a “constitutional right to possess handguns in their homes.”

Hardly perfect...but it doesn't necessarily make it a slam-dunk that he'll sign such a law.

I truly do feel bad for our pro-gun friends in California. To have this kind of liberal lunacy prevailing in such a gorgeous state is a great shame. Nevertheless, this sort of nonsense is one reason why I keep all of my wanderings confined to Dixie.
