Best way to hinge a 1858 cylinder pin?

Yeah no offense but, I'd get a 2nd cylinder pin, cut it off and put a rivet or pin in it like the original.

Yeah that's the plan I'm going to purchase two pins so that I have one the correct size but this is working well enough to allow me to pop off a few wax rounds outside
