War movie: Saints and Soldiers
Action/Shoot 'em up: I have a personal love of Hard Boiled....it doesn't really have all THAT much shooting compared to many others, but it's still a favorite of mine.
Really there are so many shoot 'em up movies out there though that after a while they all kind of seem the same, IMO.......sort of like westerns or slashers. Not complaining, just making an observation
