Unless they changed on the MkIV, be aware that the upper on a Ruger 22 is the serialized
part. If you purchase one online it has to go through a FFL. Background check etc.

This was still true when I bought an extra upper from Volquartsen a couple of years ago, and still true as far as I know.

Most of my 22 pistols are threaded for a can. My KelTec P17 was the most fun until I found a SIG 322. My Glock 44 worked well, but it had a lot of schmutz blow back peppering me when I installed my SIG RDX22.
