Beretta 87 22lr currently in production, thoughts on buying?

I originally wanted the m9 22lr by umarex because the beretta 22lr kits are no longer made? Good reviews but once again a cheap pot metal aluminum upper. That 87 appears to be high quality and made by Beretta. It just looks so classic from the 1970's and it caught my eyes.
Not all of them were made by Umarex. My M9-22 only has Beretta markings with its MD plant stamp. Been very reliable and accurate.

I have a 84 BB 380, beautifully made pistol and shoots very accurately for a defense pistol. The .22 version is equally as nice in construction and finish however will deliver plinking accuracy (which is ok for me) but not precision target cutting if that is your desire plus it is really expensive for a plinker. I recently purchased a Sig 938 and .22 conversion kit making it one neat defensive/ plinking pistol for less money than a Beretta.
