Anyone have a gas piston upper on their AR?

One of the primary reasons I have never owned an AR is the direct gas operation. I have fired the M16 quite a bit and found it to be accurate and easy to operate and a big pain to keep clean and reliable. (not related to cleanliness but I saw one "shotgun" itself while being fired) Never fired the current M4. There are currently 2 companies that offer gas piston/op-rod uppers for the AR platform. They are Patriot Ordnance http://www.pof-usa.com/ and DSA http://www.dsarms.com/.

I have never personally used these weapons but their existance has revived my interest in the AR platform. Hope these two sites may prove helpful to you.

True, DSA is not correctly called the manufacturer of their uppers. Either company will sell you the uppers or complete weapons however. My appologies for any lack of clarity. Note in the aforementioned post that 'make' has been changed to 'offer'.
