those stats are certainly different than ones I have seen on another (or several) locations. perhaps there was a higher standard regarding confirmed kills? if I find the other link(s) I will of course post.

a long with a lot of other rifles i have shot plenty of russian rifles. not much pride of ownership there. much like owning a cheap hammer. bobn

Yeah, the hammer that you get to beat the snot out of anything you want and have lots of FUN doing it. With a "good hammer" you feel like you can only use it to do the "job" it was intended for and you must be careful with. With the "beater" you can do just about anything you want with it and still drive a few nails.

Thats why you find a mosin made by Remington or Westinghouse... You will have pride of ownership in that case...
