bought a Colt Combat Commander, brought it home detailed and re-assembles it, cycled the slide and watched the ""spring plunger housing"fall off.

One can not help but wonder what this "spring plunger housing "is or how it was that it just fell off.

Had a recoil spring on a Ruger need replaced.

Called Ruger, there response was "Is xxxxxxxxx your current address?"

"Yes."

"A new one is on the way." Arrived a few days later.

Yes, or buy a PT111G2 and get on with your life.
Mine has almost 1500 rounds through it without a failure of any kind. Others have way more than that.
Complaints on that model are pretty scarce. Taurus definitely got it right with that one.
I see WAY more complaints on the Sig forums about 938's and 238's.... both of which I own.
