38 (.3555) 158 gr Bullets SJHP Bullets

Anyone know what cartridge/firearm these bullets (made in Serbia) are intended for? Can't find them in any of my manuals. Would appear to be intended for 38 (really??)? Any thoughts?

If they are PPU (PRVI PARTIZAN), they are made for 38/357 revolvers. They do things a little different over there.

But you can use them for 9mm.

Their 9mm bullets are .3545", but their 380 bullets are .3555".

Those numbers are SAAMI maximum. For .38 Special and .357 Magnum, the full spec is .3590-.0030 for lead and .3580-.0030 for jacketed.

For 9mm Luger, the full spec is .3555-.0030

I believe we have a winner. If anyone has data for 9 mm with a bullet this heavy (158 g), I'd like to see it. Not in any of my manuals.

There isn't much data for 158 grain bullets in the 9mm. Vihtavuori has some data for 150 and 165 grain bullets:

There is some data at the link below, but it is not pressure-tested, only pressure-estimated, so one would have to be very cautious when working up loads with this data.
