Winchester 94 Trails End Octagonal .44 Magnum

Just bought one that's unfired for $650. Is that a good price? Are they good shooters with 44 mags and with 44 specials? Thanks, Dennis

    Loving the 44 special!

I've been enjoying an ongoing passion for my Lipsey Bisley 44 special and for the 44 special round in general. Funnist thing in town both to reload and to shoot. I just put a 3" S&W 624 on layaway and can't wait to be able to get it and start shooting. Anyone here have or have experience with...

    Small pistol primmered 45 ACP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man am I sick of finding these dxmn things mixed in with my brass! I try to just retrieve my own brass but there's a lot of brass out there and suddenly as I'm trying to reload ammo... suddenly...crunch...and despite all efforts one of those little sxbs has crept into the mix. It sure slows...

Ruger bolt action 77/44 44 magnum?

I'm about to order one of these. Are they any good for paper punching and/or for hunting hogs out to 75 yards? Anyone like 'em or hate 'em? How do they compare to the Marlin 1894 .44 magnums? Thanks, Dennis

The greatest CCW revolver on Planet Earth!

In my case the hands down winner is my k-frame 2.5" .357 Magnum Model 66. In an IWB Milt Sparks VersiMax2 holster there's nothing more comfortable, concealable, accurate, relaible and beautiful. At least that's my impartial opinion! Yours may differ of course....:) Dennis

    The Amazing S&W 627PC

I've got about 1000 rounds through mine now. It continues to amaze me how that revolver works to make me look good. I shoot a number of revolvers very well free-hand DA at 15 yards. The little old 5", 8-shot 627PC however does just as good at 25 yards as the others do at 15 yards. An amazing...

    Five-Inches is Best!

I admit it's not the best for CCW but having put more than 1000 rounds through my PC 627 I've come to conclude that the 5" barrel is a woderful length - more sight radius than the 4" (also 1" closer to the target) and better balance in my hand at least than the 6 inch plus barrel lengths...

    Hunting with an N-Frame S&W .357 Magnum?

I've got a 5" S&W Performance Center N-Frame .357 Magnum 627 with iron sights that I'm pretty handy with. What do folks think about using it to hunt with at distances of 50 yards or less? Would you load it with 180-grain bullets to hunt mule deer and boar? Assuming shot placement was not an...

    N-Frame .357 Magnum S&W Revolvers!

I've had my 8-shot 5" PC 627 long enough now to put close to a 1000 rounds through it. It is truely an awesome handgun. Were/are other older S&W .357 Magnums this amazing, or is the 627 just so darn fine because its a PC product? :) Thanks, Dennis

    Shooting DA Revolvers DA!

Out to 25 yards I'm pretty good now shooting my S&W 66 and 386 in DA mode which is the only way I shoot 'em. I'm a range officer at a big outdoor range and see barely 1 in a 100 who show up with a DA revolver ever shoot it DA. Anyone else practice this obviously dying art? Thanks, Dennis

User friendly .357 ammo for Ti/Sc Revolvers?

I just bought a S&W 386PD. It is a 17.5 oz scandium frame/titanium cyllinder revolver with a 2.5" barrel and a hi-viz front sight. I changed the grip and had a trigger job done and its a great DA shooter at 50'. .38 Special and .38+P are both very accurate, easy to shoot in DA and lots of...
