How do I remove or disconnect the mag safety on my FEG Hi-Power clone?

I have been thinking of taking some of my tax return and purchasing one of those FEG Hi-power clones ($250 at my local shop). What's the skinny on these guns? Are they reliable and accurate like a browning? Do all of the parts interchange?

I have a S&W model 28 .357 and I get an occasional light hammer strikes with various ammo. The little screw at the bottom of the mainspring is about halfway screwed in. Would tightening this screw (thereby bowing the spring more) increase the hammer fall strength? Or is it the other way...
