It's solid on 5 cylinders and the remaining is pretty loose ? Is the solution replacing the extractor/rachet ?

Anyone have any experience with these? Looks like your basic 870 with nickel plating inside and out and a larger magazine. Been considering one for home defense ... not sure it has any other useful purpose outside of the military. Does it ? Priced right ... holds 6 shells .... nice and short...
