Anybody have any experience with these? I am looking at a 97%+ condition 28 inch bbl, 2.75" chamber with multi-choke for $200. Would see occasional field use and probably some trap shooting. Thoughts?:confused: Bueller? Bueller?:confused:

I've been looking at this round lately. Looks like a pretty versatile number. Probably good for nasty hogs and black bear, and accurate enough for most anything else to 250 yards. Many steps up from the .35 Rem and easier on the shoulder than the .350 Rem Mag. I already have 6.5x55 and 7mm-08...

Anybody know anything about this. My Brother came into a nice double. It says Mercury in a gold filled semi-circle around the action lever. There is a plastic pistol cap that says "ZH". The barrel says "mercury magnum" and "3" Chamber" Beautiful french walnut and handcheckered semi-beavertail...

I have heard of these in 30-30 being rebarreled to 38-55. Has anybody heard of conversions to maybe .250/.300 Savage or other mid-pressure cartridges? Rebarrel or rechamber options? As a barrel/nut predecessor to the more robust 110, can ER Shaw or others do anything with these? :confused:

Would it be possible to ream a small ring commercial Husqvarna to the more readily available 9.3x62 cartridge? case dimensions and pressures would seem to make it a viable option. Thoughts? :confused:

I'm interested in one of these for field work and possible light waterfowl. Anybody know if these are scaled to gauge? A friend of mine says they are, however, does Browning really make three or four different size receivers scaled to gauge? :confused:

I've always thought one piece, however looking at the receiver, the rear is lower than the front. Would this make mixing manufacturers rings/bases difficult? So two piece or one piece bases? :confused:

Iv'e always been a Leupold fan. (Never actually owned one) I'm about to scope my Rem 700 SPS 7mm-08 and I'm looking at both in 3-9x40, but the problem is as follows: My local shop has the Leupold @ $220 and the Burris for $190 I like both and figure the $$$ difference helps pay for the base...

@ Dicks Sporting Goods (the chain) I handled a 700 in 7mm/08 yesterday with plain checkered walnut and matte bluing with no sights. It's marked down from $529.99 to $349.99. The clerk says "I don't know if it's an ADL but we marked it down cuz this caliber is so unpopular" HA! I think I should...
