Does anyone with wood stocks and mainly free floating barrels have play in the forearms? It seems as if I can actually move the forearm up and down so it touches the barrel. Is this normal? Should there be some play or looseness in the forearm or should it be tight and snug to the barrel?

Hi Im new to the forum and have a question concerning the forearm of the hawkeye. Wood stock.... When I push on the forearm there is play and I can actually push the forearm so its touching the barrel. Is this normal cause the barrel is free floated? Thx for the help.
