I just purchased some lugs for a sling i bought my buddy for his marlin M60. The front of the stock is VERY thin less than 1/2"....the size of the lug screw is made for 1/2" stocks and that would be enough to puncture through the wood or crack it. Im thinking can I cut the screw down maybe 1/8"...
