COuld someone with a Burris fullfield II 3-9x40 measure the lenth of the main tube from the end of the objective bell to the start of the eye piece (basically the parts of the tube where it can be mounted with rings).

Which of the 3 lines would you choose and why? Seems like (from what I have read) that the burris is more rugged, but the nikon may have better glass. The bushnell is pretty well regarded too. All are roughly the same price. What say you?

I am debating on sticking a fixed or variable power scope on my rifles. Pros and cons of both? Which do you prefer and why? Also, if you go fixed, what power and why?

I cannot find much data about the newer Winchester 101 shotguns...my searches mostly find info about the older ones. The newer models have invector plus choke tubes andappear to be made in an fn plant. I have seen a lot of comments about the 101 not holding up under heavy "target use" as well...

Looking at picking up an FAL and I want to go top shelf, so I have been referred to DSA. Are they worth the cash ($1500 for an SA 58). Would you recommend an SA58 or save a little and buy one built on an austrian kit (STG58)? No experience with the FAL platform. What say you?

I am going to pick up some spare mags for my new PX4 9mm and my 92fs. I have seen many MDS mags that are cheaper than beretta "factory" stuff. My 92 ahs mags marked MDS, so I am assuming those are OEM. Is MDS the OEM for the storm as well?
