I just purchaced an armalite ar 10 and it won't feed remington express soft point ammo. The bullet catches on the feed ramp. I adjusted the magazine catch all the way down and it seems to have helped some but not much. I am new to the AR platform and would like some suggestions.

I just purchased an Armalite AR10 flat top with 20 in barrel. If you could spend 450 to 550 on a scope what would you buy. The shots will be from 25 yds to 300 yds some moving and at night. I can't afford night vision and really don't need it with spotlights. Want to hear some opinions. Barry
