I don't get the impression that their autoloaders are that popular - neither here nor at gun shops/shows. Yet, almost every time I see a post on a SW autoloader, two themes come up - accuracy and reliability. Are they bad on ergonomics? What is the issue? (Other than SW politics).

Here is my home baked PreB. I used Satin Black, but I "overbaked it" for a harder finish and ended up more like "Mil-Spec Gray". I buffed all flats with Steel wool and left the rounds in a more matte finish. I did not touch the top, which does not yeld any glare. It looks best in daylight...

On my SA 1911 (a 91 model equivalent of the new MilSpec), when the slide in closed, you can push down on the barrel hood and it moves downward. I that this is not good. What is the fix? (fitted barrel link?). Thanks.

Every time I see a thread on HP clones, someone claims that the metallurgy on FM or FEG clones is "bad". What is the real evidence for this, and how bad? Gun failures? Kabooms? Lost accuracy? Any objective comparisons to FN, Arcus, or Browning?

I guess this would be a poll, but WHO generally accomodates their warranty work with free shipping to/from the manufacturer? It can be expensive with handguns, but you are shipping it because of a problem THEY are responsible for.
