Does anyone else limit their choice on weapons to calibers thay already have?

I know it sounds dumb, but I do. I guess cause I spend so much effort into stockpiling ammunition for the guns I own I'm kinda hesitant to get a gun chambered in a round I don't already have. For instance, for my handguns I have .22LR (goes with my 10/22 too) 9mm, .357 mag/.38 SPL, and .45 ACP...

On the matter of my opinions here...

I am relitively new here to the firing line, and I am very impressed with the wealth of knowledge I have seen in the members here. It has been a great place to talk about one of my greatest passions in life: Firearms. Being that I talk alot, I have made several posts based on my opinion of...

    Bobcat BW89PDW HK MP5K clone.

Back in '94 I was bummed. The assault weapon ban had just gone into effect and I hadn't finished my "must have" gun collection when it did. I wasn't even close. Ever since I saw that old movie "The Wild Geese" I've always wanted to own an HK MP5, but back in '94 I was no where near being able...

For all of you out there who think AK47's are slapped together mass produced...

LEGGO guns? You're right. But I love 'em. If a HK416 is a Ferrari Factory Race Car in the world of battle rifles, the AK47 is a NASCAR Stock Car. It ain't built for beauty, but when it comes time to work, it does its job well. The Kalashnikov aka Avtomat Kalashnikova has a very familiar...

    Why I choose my G26.

When it comes to Handguns I'm not biased. I'm not "PRO" Glock or "PRO" 1911 or anything else for that matter, in fact I happen to own both along with other types as well. But when it comes to the gun I take along with me down to the shop late at night it's always my G26. I have been a Glock...

Classic gun collectors HATE my "kind".

I like guns. I collect guns. I shoot guns. I really enjoy all sorts of guns too. While I am a long gun kind of guy preferring rifles to handguns, I have no predjudice towards handguns in anyway, in fact I do ALOT of handgun shooting on a regular basis...but if it ever came to having to choose...

    Springfield's "XML" weapon lights

Awesone stuff. Plenty bright, very small and weighs next to nothing. The quick release is very handy and the accessorie rails on the holster make carrying the light off the gun a breeze. Worth the money.

Any fellow FN FS2000 owners here?

I've had mine for about a month now. What a fun piece of hardware! It's the first FN I've ever owned. When I first got it I thought I would have to Magpul all of the magazines I'd use for it (seeing that magazines don't fall free from this gun), but after a little practice I figured out a way to...

What's your opinion on pistol calibered AR15's?

They kinda don't make sense to me. I'm not saying they don't work, or aren't good weapons they just don't make much sense to me. First off, an AR15's magazine well and/or the magazines being used have to be modified. I've always had a dislike of adapters, whether it be for car rims, carburetor...

You Fella's living in Bear country...

You guys are brave man! Geez, I was watching the Discovery Channel and they had a special on Bear attacks. I can't even imagine something that fricken big w/ teeth and claws running around loose in the forrest when I was hunting. I would want to pack a Bazooka with me. I noticed the .38spl...

People's Gun Choices: I respect 'em.

Even if I disagree with someone I never think that my choice is right, and their choice is wrong. The world would be a boring place if everyone had the same tastes.

Any fellow M92 "Krinkov" owners here?

Hello Everyone! This is one of my first posts, so please bare with me. I am an AR15 guy. I like assembling them and working on them and most of all I like shooting them, but it was only until relatively recently that I have been able to afford them. Before I got into AR15's I was into the much...
