    Seating and crimp die

I'm useing Lee's dies and have been useing the FCD to crimp. I would like to skip that 4th step and crimp with the seating die. It says to adjust bullet to desired depth and turn die in half turn, I guess for the crimp. When you do this it seats the bullet deeper so do you also turn the...

what causes powder blow back on case

I loaded some 45 acp with a new powder and had powder blow back on the spent case. I was at min start so shouldn't be to much pressure. Is it to much crimp or not enought crimp? I was trying for a light load with 4.2 Bullseye and 200 gr plated. any ideals?

Has anyone used the Hornady swaged Lswc in 357

I use them for the 38 spl and like them for that. I'm thinking of using them for the 357. But that would be pushing them since they are a swaged bullet. Have any of you used this bullet for 357? I read somewhere that the Hornady Swaged bullet was a harder bullet than the Speer swaged bullet...

    Light loads for 200 LSWC

Hodgdon's Universal Clays seems way hot for a light load 200LSWC. They say to start out at 5.8 gr . I think I'll go down to 5 or 5.2 and see how that does. Anyone else using Universal and the 200 gr LSWC. How do ya'll put the together?

    S&W used gun

I was looking at a gun and on the label( blue box) beside the serial# it said used. This was the S&W printed label from them on the case. I didn't know S&W sold used guns. Could this be a gun sent out for a review or some kind of repaired work? It just struck me odd to see used printed on...

    Sample of bullets ?

Do any of the bullet manufacturers offer sample bullets of say 38 spl or 45acp. Such as RN, SWC, HP and also in different weights. It would be nice to try out different ones before making that large order.

What's your favorite plated 45 and load?

Where do you get your 45acp/colt plated bullets from? I don't even know if they make a 45 colt in a plated bullet, but I'm interested in a SWC 200 gr. 45 acp . I use Universal Clays ,any load data with the plated SWC 200 gr.?

    S&W M22 45 acp

Looks like a nice revolver. Anyone have anything to say about them. The nickel really looks sharp and the blue so classic. I can't seem to find much around in the 45acp used market around here, so This has really peaked my interest.

    Soft shooting/fun revolvers

Since I'm really liking this reloading thing, what are some fun revolvers that you enjoy shooting? I've got the big bores ,so thinking along the lines of 32 or some others that are fun to shoot and can find components for. I'm thinking less than the 38spl. What's out there that I should watch...

    Berry's 124gr HBRN load data

I know these are a newer bullet , but it seemed to build a lot of excitment. Have anyone started to build any loading data for these? What kind of COL are you using and how are they holding up with the hollow base? Thanks

    Hollow base bullets

    S&W Sigma in 357

Is it worth the effort to try and hunt one down? What models did they come in ? I don't see a lot of them around. Is that because if you have one you're not selling or they didn't produce many?

    Glock-36 and lead bullets

Would it be worth the cost to get a Lone Wolf barrel so I can shoot lead bullets? The cost of the barrel would buy a lot of FMJ bullets. I reload a lot of lead for other 45's and it would be nice to be able to shoot them in the Glock. The Glock-36 is my main CCW , so should I buy and reload...

Do you like the 38 super

Since I'm getting into reloading I've been thinking of a 45 acp DA revolver or the 38 super auto. The 45 revolvers are over priced when I can find one local. The 38 supers aren't just laying around either, but seem to be making a come back of sorts. I know almost nothing about the 38 super so...

    Universal clay and Unique

I see so many more options on bullet types with Unique that I see on Universal on Hodgdons website. Lyman's 49 has so many more loads with Unique than Universal. I know they're close so would I be in the ballpark useing .5 grains of Universal under what they say for Unique? I got the Universal...

    45 Colt ,452and.454 dia

I see most lead 45 colt loads are .452 dia, but every now and then I see some with a .454 dia. Can you shoot the .454 in the Colt 45 ? I know they are in larger grain bullets.
