    Finally got a Seecamp!

I first read about the Seecamp .32 many years ago. It was the smallest .32 available, and "in the know" shooters carried one. They waited months, and ponied up $1000 or more to get one. :barf: I figured right then that it would be a while before I got a Seecamp. Fast forward about 10...

If I put Eagle Secret Service grips on my S&W 642, will it be 1 oz. lighter?

If I put Eagle Secret Service grips on my S&W 642, will it be 1 oz. lighter? I read a while back that the Eagle grip was 1 oz. lighter than the boot grip that comes on a 642. If that's the case, I'd have a 14oz. .38 for a tad over $400. That's almost as good as a 12oz. .357 for $650. :eek...

Every carry your IWB as IB (Inside Belt)?

Depending on what I'm doing, and how I'm dressed, IWB can be uncomfortable. (It seems I've got a plenty inside my waistband already. ) I sometimes have to drive a lot, and sitting with an IWB for hours can be tiresome. So, I wanted to try a small Uncle Mikes IWB, with my Kahr PM9...

Looking to add a barrel to my 870 Youth....

I've got an 870 Youth shotgun in 20 guage. I'd like to pick up an old barrel, and have it cut down to 18.5". I've seen some good prices on 20ga. 870 LW barrels. Would one of these fit? Thanks for the info.

    Describe your carry gun "evolution".

-How about this format: the gun, followed by the reason it didn't work out?- I started with a Jennings J22. Hey, I was young and stupid. At least I'm not young anymore.:p Then, Jennings .380, too big. Then a NAA .22. Too small. Later, I got a KelTec P11. Big for my taste, reliability...

Georgia Arms offering free shipping for the holidays.

If you like Georgia Arms ammo, they are offering free shipping, (on orders of different sizes, depending on where you live) at: http://www.georgia-arms.com/special.htm . I like their ammo, and this would be a great time to get 1000rds of .45 ammo. If I could just be sure Santa was going to...

Any Charles Daly ECS owners here?

I really like the looks of a small 1911, but the CD guns don't get very high marks on www.1911forum.com. I am interested in a single stack, "pocket size" .45, but I don't want to spend $500+ right now. Anybody here have any experience with the little CD guns? Should I just wait unitil I can...

The "liberal press" caused the Dem. losses? Clinton has started inhaling!

An article on www.foxnews.com this morning quotes Bill Clinton in a Tuesday speech as saying Republicans won because "They have an increasingly right-wing and bellicose conservative press." What papers is he reading?

Value of a Colt "Plus Two" Mustang?

My brother-in-law just picked up a like NIB Colt .380 Mustang. It actually has the cardboard box that the plastic box came in. The guy he bought it from said he bought it new, and had shot 1/2 box of ammo in it. (Gave my b-in-law the other half box.) It has "Plus Two" engraved on the slide. I...

New Kahr PM9, first range trip.

Just got back from my first trip to the range with my Kahr PM9. The gun was purchased on 10/30/02, and had been at my dealer less than a week. Before heading to the range, I had wiped the gun down, used grease on the rails and underside of the slide, and put a few drops of synthetic oil in...

Anybody purchased the 8 round Promag Kahr mags from CDNN?

I think the 8 round mags would be good to leave loaded in the glovebox of our vehicles, as an emergency reload for the Kahr. (Yes, I carry a Kahr in the car.) I like the $10 price. Has anybody tried these, or am I going to be the first?

Oh well, another "Whoo hoo! Just got a PM9!" thread.

I called my favorite dealer this week to ask her what price she would sell a PM9 for. She looked it up and said "$499.00". Sweet! :D Then she called her distributors, and of course, could not find one. :( I called another dealer that is usually within $10 of the first dealer. They had one...

    New SAR1, (AK): Update.

I removed the wood from my SAR1, and stripped it as well as possible. Could not get all of the red out of the wood. Even soaked the wood in bleach 2 times! I applied two coats of a stain/polymer mix, that was a white pine color. I couldn't get the color as light as I would have liked...

Has anybody bought a Ruger P97 in the last few months?

I've used the search engine, and the last posts were about 2 months ago. Has anybody bought a P97 in the last few months? Any problems? How many rounds fired? These guns look like one of the best .45 values around. (<$400 out the door, no work needed on trigger, reliability, etc.) If they've...

New SAR1, quality not improved that much.

I got a new SAR1 last week. I had one about a year ago. Ordered sight-unseen from J&G Sales. Never again. Should have returned it. My first one had a canted front sight, and bad trigger slap. It had a badly mangled gas tube lever, which broke off, had to replace it. Had to work on on 6 mags to...

If you bought a Norinco .45, what parts would you replace?

I've been mainly a 9mm guy, but I have an itch for a .45. (Had a brief affair with a Taurus PT145. The memory still hurts. :( ) I'm looking hard a Ruger P90, or a Norinco. The Norinco has been around the block a few times, but looks like it is in good condition. I have shot it, and it is...

Willing "fanning" the hammer cause parts to wear out quickly in my Vaquero?

I've added Wolff springs to my Vaquero, and it has a really smooth action now. Will "fanning" the hammer cause the parts to wear quickly, or break? Inquiring minds want to know.

Kiddies, don't try this at home.. shot a mouse with .22 shot shell!

Got home a few days ago and found mouse huddled in the garage. I normally use a BB gun to dispatch such critters, but I was out of CO2. I got the bright  idea of using some old .22 long rifle shot shells I had. They are Winchester, and are made of long brass casing, crimped at the end...
