    Buy or Don't Buy?? DPMS AR15 11.5"

    A buddy of mine is trying to sell me a DPMS AR15 with an 11.5" barrel, 5" flash hider, flattop upper, aluminum quadrail with covers, buis. I don't like the idea of an 11.5" barrel. I wonder how much it would hurt accuracy and range? $700 Buy or Don't Buy?

    Too short?

    Is there much benefit from firing 2" barrel .357 over a 2" barrel .38+P? Put the recoil issue aside. I'm just curious about bullet performance. How about the same question for a .44 Mag.

    Noncorrosive 7.62x54R at Sportsman's Guide

    I bought 880 rounds of 7.62x54R ammo from Sportsman's Guide. It is listed as NONcorrosive. They say it was made in the 80's. I thought all of the Mosin Nagant ammo was corrosive and I don't know if I should trust that this is actually noncorrosive. Is there any way to verify?

    Nagant with Brass on the furniture

    I just bought a Mosin-Nagant 91-30. It was made in 1925 and it has Brass on either end of the wood between the front and rear sights. Is this unusual? Is it worth more than other 91-30s?

    Why isn't the 10 mm THE round?

    Pros - much more power - plenty of rounds Cons - a little more expensive ammo - a little more recoil I just changed from a Glock 21 to a Glock 20SF. A couple of gundealers tried to talk me out of it. What am I missing?
