    My new Ruger 77/357

I can't buy presents for everyone and not get something for myself, right? Well this little beauty should be great for small game to the biggest stuff that can be found in Michigan. Here she is with all the factory filth still on her.

    Ruger Single Nine .22 Magnum

Anyone seen this yet? I'd love to get one but Ruger is so swamped with orders I bet it will be impossible to find for a while.

If you had to use a cast bullet

OK, so the question is, if you had to use a cast bullet in a 3" revolver chambered for .45 Colt would you use a 200gr bullet or the old 255gr bullet? This would be for personal protection against bad guys. I'm pretty sure either one would work but maybe the 200gr bullet would be better suited...

    Blackhawk Bisley sights

So, I've got the 7.5" Bisley Blackhawk. I've shot a lot of loads through it the other day and with the rear sight jacked all the way up it's still shooting a little low. Has anyone has anyone had to file down the very tall front sight on this model? I just thought I'd ask before I do this...

    Has anyone tried this?

My idea is to take a 148 grain Lee mold for the .357 caliber, cast it hard then seat it only as far as a 158 grain LSWC, so I could use hot +P 158 grain cast data. Would that work? I'm thinking it would be good at punching nice clean holes in bad guys and animals at no more than 50 yards.

    Mr. Bisley

Hello all. I'd like to indroduce you to the newest member of my family, Mr.Bisley. This is my first blued weapon but such an old timie style revolver should be in the traditional blue. I really like the grip, it gives my pinky a home unlike my Vaqueros and the trigger is nice too. It fits my...

    Lee gas check pics

Thought I'd try my had at some gas checks. Turned out to be a royal pain in the ass. If the sprew play didn't cut super clean they were a bitch to get on. I ended up having to hand file a lot of the bases then use a small hammer to tap them on. The mold read 158 (C358-158-SWC) but when lube and...

    Made my own lube cutter

http://youtu.be/5o9wcJHgMCA I know people have made simmilar ones before, but this one is very comfortable because of the cork I used. At least it's a good excuse to drink a bottle of wine right? :p

More pics from my new mold

This came from my Lee 145-006 mold which arrived on my doorstep yesterday. It says it's for 38 spl, 38 S&W, and 38 Colt New Police. They are advertied as 125gr but they dropped around 130. Pan lubed 50% Beeswax, 50% Vasiline with a dash of STP in there and an orange crayon. They are loaded up...

    Ready for battle!

Yes there may be a few retarded soldiers in the back but they are going to the front lines first. Not bad for a $20 cheapo mold. :)

    P345 Failure to Feed?

Anyone have any idea what could cause this type of malfunction? I get it with both Federal Factory ball, my Berry's 230 gr handlaods, and this is with a 185 Hornady HP that I loaded. It happens enough not to make me trust it. It's a new gun with only 300 rounds though it. I bought this gun...

    9mm Nato in a Walther P1?

I've heard people say to only shoot light 115gr bullets in this pistol and then I've heard people say the Nazis used to load them hot. Anyway, I've got 4 boxes of 9mm Nato that a friend gave to me and I'd like to know if it's safe to shoot out of the only 9mm I own wich is a post war P1 (no hex...

    New gun!

My POS PT1911 will officially get benched as a carry gun whenever Taurus decides to send me my backored part, so I needed a new .45 Auto. I think the P345 is very under rated and I got this one for $470+tax so it's about half the cost of a 1911 and undoubtedly more reliable. I just got it home...

    Rohrbaugh pistols?

Anyone own or get a chance to fire a Rohrbaugh pistol? I have to say I'm not impressed with all the new pocket pistols out these days. This one is as small as an LCP but in 9mm Luger and promises good quality and a smooth trigger. http://www.rohrbaughfirearms.com/

My broken Taurus, what to do?

Well, as I've posted before, my PT1911 was double feeding brand new out of the box. I sent it back to the factory and they replaced my out of tune extractor for another out of tune one. My first test after getting it back ($40 shipping) had the same results, double feeding. So, I took it upon...

GFL .380 brass doesn't fit my shellholder?

Kinda weird thing happened today. I scored some GFL .380 brass at the range today and I took it home for sizing, but I couldn't fit it in my Hornady shell holder. All other brands fit but the GFL wouldn't. It slid into my 9mm shell holder but was too lose. Anyone else have the same problem?

    My best priming experiance

I"ve been saving up the Walmart Federal .45 Auto brass for some time now. The ammo itself isn't very good, but I wanted the SPP brass. Today I primed it with Winchester primers and every one went in smooth and easy by hand. I've primed many thousands of assorted brass and these were by far...

    Is it worth it?

Hello all. I never casted before and never really had any desire, but where I work they are getting rid of about 50# of lead sheilding used in radiology. It got me thinking that maybe I could melt those down into igots then start casting. I know very little about casting, so is it worth it...
