    115gr or 124 grain in Glock 26

I have a Glock 26 Gen 4. So far I've shot this gun very little. All I've shot was 124 grain bullets, Berry's bullets both flat and hollow base. I have plenty of those bullets but I'm about to order some more. Does your 26 prefer the 124's or the 115's?

    I did it, 9mm 1911

Always wanted one. I have some 45's but I wanted something different. It's a Taurus PT-1911. If it's as good as my PT-1911 45 I will be very happy. Now I just have to wait for delivery from Buds. Why, no reason. I stopped attempting to justify guns a long time ago.

    Folded wings

On a K98 Mauser there is what appears to be an eagle with folded wings next to the serial number on both the receiver and the barrel, what does it mean? This is a 1938 S/243.

    AA#5 or CFE pistol 40 S+W

180 grain bullets, Armscorp. I don't see much difference so if I go into a store and see one but not the other is there a real difference. I have been using AA#5, but I'm not wedded to it. Then there are the Alliant powders. BE-86, what the heck is that?

Which is most like a series 70 Gold Cup

Many years ago I owned a Series 70 Gold Cup. I have fired the series 80's but they just didn't have a match trigger like the 70's. So what gun today compares best to that series 70 Gold Cup. Not that I'm going to buy it because it will likely be well over a grand, but just curious.

    What Happened?

Back in 1989 I left IPSC shooting after 7 years. I was actually getting pretty good. But marriage will do that to you. Now I look at it, and it has changed. It seems to be a gaming completion and the word Practical seems to have taken a back seat. The stages are a great deal different than...

Will yhe real Unique Load please stand up

I'm loading a 180 grain Armcorp FMJ flat point and 175 grain cast in 40 S+W. Here's the thing, the Lyman 49th says 5.8 grains max. The Alliant pamphlet says 6.4 max with a 180 grain JHP. Alliant online says 6.7 max with a Speer GDHP. That GDHP has at least as much riding on the bore as the...

    Berry's 124 grain HBRN 9mm

I've been loading since 1982. In that time I have loaded a good bit of 9mm. Always I go with 124 grain bullets, and I have tried most of them. The load is always 4.4 grains of 231. Today I loaded 120 rounds of Berry's 124 grain HBRN. Same powder and charge with Sellor and Bellot SP primers...

How does Sigarms do it? Returns

I have a Sigarms P250 that fails to extract. How does Sig handle the return? Do they pay for it, send you a box, What?

    Sig P250 fail to extract

My wife's Sig P250 sub-compact 9mm started failing to extract. The gun hasn't been fired much and has been loaded since last summer. The case is either fully in the chamber with the next round pushed against it or half way out with the next round trying to feed. This is with both factory...

    Load sucked

I loaded 25 grains of 3031 behind a Speer 50 grain TNT. Accuracy sucked!! These bullets are part of a bulk pack I bought about 18 years ago. Truthfully I don't ever remember them shooting well in anything, but better than this. They shot really bad in both my M700 ADL and my AR. Granted, the...

    Have Leupold's improved?

Many years ago I had two Leupold Tactical scopes fail on me. In both cases the reticles broke. The first one I know I smacked the top of a wall with the butt of the rifle. How the second one happened I do not know. Both during maneuvers for my department. Both times the rifle was slung across my...

    Turtle Wax Renew RX

I went to buy a bottle of Nu-Finish polishing compound, they didn't have any. I bought Turtle Wax Renew RX polishing compound. This is the stuff in the squeeze bottle, not in the tub. Now I'm reading that is has ammonia in it (internet info) and ammonia attacks brass. Looking at the MSDS I see...

    Handgun accuracy

Accuracy builds confidence, even though that accuracy will not be realized in a fight. Essentially it is most important that the weapon operate 100% of the time both in two hands, one and with the off hand plus single hand from the hip. Accuracy in a fight, open your palm all the way and put...

    The Itch/ Springfield

I have always been an XD fan. One of my carry guns is an XD subcompact 40. This XD Mod2 came out, now I have that itch. I do find the words 'Grip Zone" on the side of the grip rather stupid looking.
