    Lee Turrets

I'm guessing the answer is no to this question but can a three hole turret be used in a four hole press?

    223 40 grain C.O.A.L.

    Taurus 44 Magnum Advice

I have a Taurus 44 magnum Tracker with two problems. First, the cylinder will not lock in place. It seems Keybear had a similar problem with his Ruger. Second, the hammer will only move about 1/2 inch whether pulled or activated by the trigger. Taurus has a lifetime warranty on their...

45 ACP JSP & Target SP

I have a handful of 185 grain Tgt SP bullets and some 240 grain JSP bullets with .451" diameters. The target (I assume the Tgt on the box means target) soft points have a copper jacket covering the entire bullet except for a small amount of exposed lead at the tip. I cannot find loading data...

    Federal 223 Brass

I have brass with Federal and 223 Rem making up the head stamp. Between 223 and Rem is a small round indentation. It is similar to the circle with the cross seen on military brass but it does not have the cross. Is this military brass? Does it have crimped primers?

    Choke Markings Fox Shotgun

I have a Stevens/Fox, Model B, side-by-side shotgun in 20 ga. I see no markings anywhere to indicate chokes for both barrels. I measured the right barrel (fires first) at about .612 which would make this a cylinder bore. The left barrel seems to be improved. I know the what the chokes are...

    Chokes for 20 gauge shotguns

I have a Stevens model 67 shotgun in 20 gauge with changeable chokes. I have several chokes but not a cylinder bore choke. Can I use lead shot, size 7 or 8 without a choke in the barrel or would this damage the threads? With no choke, would the I.D. at the muzzle be the same as a cylinder...

    Turkeys and 22 rifles

Yes, you can kill a turkey with a 22 long rifle round. Today, a friend's grandson killed a small turkey with a 40 grain Mini-mag cartridge fired from a rifle. The shot was from about 30 yards. The bird flopped around for a few seconds then died.

    Firearms Registry

Does the FBI or any agency keep a registry of stolen firearms? These, of course, would be stolen firearms reported by victims of theft.

    Title

Will someone provide the name of the federal law that covers transporting private firearms across state lines. A friend is moving to Virginia from the Denver area. I want him to have a copy of the law or at least know the title.

    Chiappa M9-22

I posted this in the Handgun: Semi Auto section. This may be a better place for it. A friend has the Chiappa M9-22 (22 LR). He has been having a feeding problem. I looked at his gun and determined it isn't the magazine but rather, the feeding ramp. I think the all lead bullets are hanging up...

    Chiappa M9-22

A friend has the Chiappa M9-22 (22 LR). He has been having a feeding problem. I looked at his gun and determined it isn't the magazine but rather, the feeding ramp. I think the all lead bullets are hanging up because there is a tiny lip at the rear of the ramp. I used a knife blade to feel...

    New Jersey, again

A neighbor, who is from NJ, told me firearms cannot be willed to a family member or, I guess, to anyone for that matter. If this happens, the firearms must be destroyed. He said his father will sell him his guns for $1. I did some research on this and found nothing. Anyone have anything to...

    New Jersey

Has anyone noticed the NJ house passed 22 gun laws? It's headed for the senate where it looks like an easy pass. I also read that Gov Christie will likely sign into law.

    Felons and Guns

Tonight, I watched an expisode of, "Alaska State Troopers". An officer stopped a vehicle whose driver is a felon. The felon had two weapons in his vehicle. The driver told the office he was a felon but is authorized to have the firearms. When the officer did a check on the driver, he...

    Nomenclature

After posting my thread about the single shot break open hexagonal 22 handgun, I thought about this. If a handgun with a rotating cylinder is called a revolver and a semi-automatic handgun is called a pistol, what is a single shot pistol called that has no cylinder and of course is not...

    Single Shot 22 handgun

After WWII, or sometime before, my father had a single shot 22 handgun. I don't know if it was 22 short, long or long rifle. The action was a break open type. The barrel was either hexagonal or octagonal and was about six inches long. After returning from Germany, 1949, he traded it and a...
