    Re-make of a safety poster

Earlier poster lacked safety glasses. Larger This one has glasses and, hopefully, looks less busy. The design is not sophisticated but, hopefully, the message is more to the point. Again, advice is welcome. I am still re-editing my site, but hope that the time and effort spent would be...

Poster without a gun in it

Larger http://www.olegvolk.net/newphotos/tn/seeher.jpg Trying for an appeal to social justice, without even showing a gun. Hope it would go over better with fence-sitters than something showing Tamara or runt with a belt-fed grenade launcher ;) Suggestions on phrasing, composition, etc. are...

How to drift rear sight on NAA Black Widow?

I'd like to drift the rear sight on my 2" BW .22mag by 1mm. I tried using a punch and a hammer but couldn't budge the dovetailed sight. I am concerned that I'll mark the finish and still not move the sight or that I'd warp the frame. Suggestions, please.

    Light strikes with P1914

I had my P1914 converted with a "speedlock" kit to cock on opening. Got light strikes which would fire new ammo but not surplus corrosive (about 75% would require a re-strike). I put the original bolt back in but the problem got worse: now not even a re-strike would fire corrosive ammo though...

    Please recommend a holster for a SW10

I'd like to carry a S&W10-5. Would prefer a paddle holster. Does anyone make a plastic or leather paddle holster for it? Where in Nashville could I get the gun re-parkerized, how much would that cost? Does anyone make clip-on (NOT belt loop) speedloader pouches?

    Deer jerky recepies, please

    1. Catch a deer. 2. Butcher that deer. 3. Pay the rancher for the cow deer. 4. Now what? Real recepies, preferably not too spicy.

Buckshot in rifled barrels: people have done it

Some folks over on Glocktalk have tired loading bore-sized lead balls : seems to work as well as intended for giving a bit of margin for aiming error.

Small-caliber soft points against hostile humans?

Provided that they feed properly, how well would cheap (no bonded jacket) soft points in 5.56, 5.45 and similar rifle calibers perform against hostile humans? behind cover, like car doors? I am looking for comparison with ball of the same caliber.

Recommend a venue for selling an antique gun

A friend asked me to sell an old rifle (1790) for him. I am at a loss as to where to list it (not as an auction). Suggestions please.

A postcard of my RKBA graphic: which to pick?

I'd like to do a trial run of postcards of one of my images. My plan is to get pre-orders on packs of ten, a thousand cards total for starters. The trouble is with selecting ONE image of the many If you have an interest in getting a few postcards, please post a thumbnail (or a link to a...

    Real Airline Security (poster)

Old film image, just got around to scanning it. Either I've been spoiled by good digital or my film scanner is going out of focus... hi-res

Guns which don't show up in movies

I can't think of many movies which show StG44, or PPS43 or RPD. Similarly, P1914/M1917 don't get much screen time. These were all common weapons. Even if not common in the US, how hard would it be to make a propane or just a non-working reproduction?

Someday, you'll be too old to run away (poster)

hi-res That was the argument which swayed me way back in 94. My friend said: "Of course I'd rather run from a threat...but I may be old and feeble someday and unable to run fast." I am considering adding a third line of text in the middle for clarification, something to the effect of "Yet, I...

    About keeping promises (poster)

Some people define adulthood as "voluntarty assumption of responsibility for the welfare of others". Marriage is one such activity, yet some folks seem to shirk the attendant responsibilities. hi-res

The little woman should even *try* (poster)

hi-res I am tired of the movie cliche that the victims wouldn't be hurt too badly had they not tried to resist (always ineffectively). hi-res I've been sleeping soundly since moving to TN. If an invasion ever occurs, it would be likely I'd wake up to the reports of runt_of_the_litter's gun...

Then and Now (re-make of a poster)

Larger Older unsatisfactory image with the same caption Not sure I've improved on it by much (might play with the text a bit). I managed to produce a small Flash demo this weekend, perhaps I will be able to animate some graphics shortly. Does anyone have suggestions on sources of...

    Quotes

Listening to Kimpling's "Kim" on tape and this comment caught my attention: (travelling lama) “What profit to kill men?” (retired sepoy officer)“Very little— as I know; but if evil men were not now and then slain it would not be a good world for weaponless dreamers."

Teach a man to fish... (a poster and a bonus image)

Hi-res (For extra points, who is the gentleman in the photos and whose revolver is it?) We had a pleasant gathering of friends (incl. several TFLers), pictures forthcoming. Here's one of Tamara and her Socially Intended rifle, for starters. Pics of lendsringer and more pictures of...

Best buckshot round would be a small gauge magnum?

Just thinking here...if small patterns are desirable, why not introduce a specialized buckshot chambering. Could start with .410 and magnumize it. A 5" .410 shell would hold plenty of .40-caliber round balls with a fairly uniform fit to the barrel. The spread from such a gun would be similar to...
