A friend gave me an old box that came out of his fathers garage after his passing. It has a dissassembled SxS, and the walnut stocks are here, the locks and hammers, triggers, trigger guard, breakdown lever, forearm brakedown lever, and some screws.... No barrels. the stocks have been stripped...

Brand new dies. And Using 85 grain Ballistic Tips in 25-06!! Bought my daughter a set of RCBS 25-06 dies and a box of Nosler Ballistic Tips in the 85 grain weight. The nosler manual (#6), has a few of my powders listed but the Hogdon 2013 manual has a wider variety of powders to try with this...

Well the 130 grn Accubond has accounted for another successfull hunt. I shot a nice fat buttonbuck with my .270 win at 75 yds. The shot was through a full value wind but it drifted very little at 75 yds, I took the neck shot so I wouldn't mess up any "sausage meat". It knocked a softball size...

My daughter, (with help from a good neighbor) purchased her third rifle, it's a Savage model #111LH, (old flat top), 25-06, synthetic stock with a Pentax 4x32 scope on it, maybe 10 rnds shot through it. she only paid $200.00 cash! Anyway I digress,,, Give us some load ideas for this rifle...

This scope is in real nice shape, can it take recoil from like a 30-06? . I wish I had my computer up, I'd send pics. It's nice looking, all steel 4X12x 32 it looks like.

I had my first loose bullet problem with my 7mm mag loads. As I went to seat the bullets and measure their OAL I noticed that some were loose,,, like hand loose,:(.. I went over to the cabinet and retrieved the Lee crimping die and crimped them with a moderate crimp,, problem averted...
