Does any one reduce their bp cartridge loads with Cream O Wheat? I some times SASS shoot Frontier Cartridge, and last Fall I had no noticeable problem. Yesterday 90 degrees with guns getting uncomfortably hot to handle. When I went to pre-clean before putting it in a case, my '73 with the 23"...

    1851 or 1860

I have 2 of each, but the '51 is my go to shooter. I love looking down the barrel at the bead sight. I recently got a Pietta '62 Police 5 1/2" barrel that interchanges (after some work) with my Navy barrel. the casehardened frame doesn't show very well

    '73 short stroke

The top one belongs to a friend, one year newer, but untouched. Even with the shortened stroke the action work on mine makes it smoother and easier to cycle.

    '73 short stroke

Have any of you "cowboy shooters" short stroked a '73. I plan on stroking my 2nd model '73. Have an extra original lift arm to build up, and links coming that will need the metric end holes filled and re-drilled to US and firing pin retract pin added to the left link. I borrowed a set of...

    Short stroke single action revolver

I have seen adds for "short stroke" SA revolvers both Pietta and Uberti. What all is changed to make this possible, and can this mod. be added to a standard gun. This is offered in only .45 or .357, I want it in .44 WCF.

    Old nipples

I have a pair of 1969 built Uberti 1860 Armies with 1/2 fluted cylinders that are soon to need new nipples. These are from the days when Uberti was using 6-.75 threads they are shorter nipples than what the 6-.75 ones that Pietta uses now. Com on you other "old guys"help me out here.

    Loading BP from a flask??

I most always load from a Colt style flask. After removing spent caps and walking up to the target any ember is long out. Here are my most used spouts to which I have soldered a brass ferrule to help not spilling powder all over.

    New ears

My Chinese coach gun has had a lot of action work and chambers polished but the hammer ears were sharp and short. $15 and XXX-hours later I have what a "mule eared shot" gun should look like. It will have to do 'till some one gives me a Pedrocelli Wyatt Earp.

    Flex Hone

Have any of you "cowboy shooters" polished their Uberti .44-40 pistol chambers with a Flex Hone? What would you use, .44 mag. and take it easy on the taper in the chamber? Would I start with the 400 or just use the 800?

    .41 short

I just "relocated" 60 rounds of ammo for my Remington derringer. I have been quite stingy with my shooting, was down to about 30 rounds. Now I can do a little "across the card table" shooting again, any body got aces and eights!
