Current Military thinking is that Cold War weapons like the M1A1 Abrams are OBSOLETE! The future is light and fast armored vehicles.

Even .300 Winchester Magnum is just a little bit more than a 30-06.

So why no more .25, .32, .38 and .44 rimfire rifles?
There is a .22 Magnum and a coming .17 Magnum, so why no more .38 Rimfires?
