Where do you get the best price

For barely used revolvers or pistols? Going to a Gun Show doesn't seem a likely place to me. Private party, advertise locally, any suggestions? I'm talking new purchases within a year or two, thinking of getting out.

Where do you dispose of Ammunition

For whatever reason, one wants to "dump" many rounds of reloads, where do you go?

    Primer Blowing Off While Seating

As I am seating primers with my Lee Safety Prime setup on my Classic Turret, I wonder if anyone has ever had one blow off while seating. As you know, some seat slicker than snot, others kind of crunch into place. I never force it, and sometimes move the casing just a tad in the shellholder...

    .40 Powder Favorite

Been using Accurate #5, just ran out and was wondering what others use. And if others have found a better powder for the .40, after having used AA#5?

    Recoil .40 vs .45 ACP

Is it really dependant upon the semiauto, I would assume so. A large frame 1911 type may not produce any more recoil, than a standard size .40 polyframe pistol. Just thinking of what may be a suitable .45 to buy, don't really want any more recoil than my .40 M&P now.

For Primers reloading the .45 ACP?

    New M&P .45

Featured in Guns & Ammo Magazine, I like it, what's everyone else's take on it? My next gun in mind is a .45 ACP, undecided at this point which gun. I'm biased as I love my M&P 40, but just wondering what you .45 ACP people think of it? Any chance of becoming our Soldier's sidearm? Best

    Ebay bans gun part sales

So, sounds like the liberals have won one. From what I read on my NRA news, we won't be buying mags, bullets, or anything related to gun parts or components on Ebay anymore after last week. Some fruitcakes think these parts contribute to making it easier for the BG to kill people. I'd...

    I'll Tell You What

I don't share the confidence that some seem to have, in their Lee Pro Auto Powder equipment. Have been having misfires with my .38 Spl loads, at least one out of 50 rounds. Loading today, just by luck weighed one that dropped a 1.0 grain, with others at 3.2 to 3.6 grains of Hodgdon Titegroup...

    Cleaning a Wheelgun

Is a chore compared to a Pistol. Some powder/burns don't come off easy even on stainless steel. Any hints, to make my life easier, if so I may shoot my 686+ more often.

    OAL for .40SW

I find the maximum OAL for a 155 Gr. SWC at 1.130" and minimum at 1.095". In order to get proper feeding in a Beretta PX4, with the bullet seated to a OAL of 1.105 this seats the bullet about level with the top "landing" (if that's the proper description) on the lead bullet. In other words...

    Is It Possible

That a slightly enlarged primer pocket, and a loose primer, can cause a failure to eject in a semi auto handgun. Acting the same as a no eject due to a low powder charge. Gas pressure getting out around the primer seating?

    So What's The Norm

To expect when reloading, at least with the Lee powder equipment. How many FTE's out of say 300 loads should one see, due to lack of a accurate powder drop? After weighing in one out of ten loads, it is not very encouraging to get "fizzer" and have to check to see if the bullet made it out of...

    Sighting with Rx Glasses

Having to use reading glasses, complicates my sighting the target. Bought safety glasses with a 1.50 correction (reading) at the bottom of the lense. So, we are supposed to concentrate on our front sight, right? Well, the front sight is somewhat blurred, and you look like a "fruit cake" with...

    Tumbling Finished Loads

Is this a safe and wise thing to do? Have tried it myself, after reading some others routinely do this. Sure makes the finished product look great, BUT can it affect the powder and shooting properties? I'm talking about a small vibratory type of Tumbler. If the factories do this to a...

Advice on a Quality .45 ACP

I know, everyone has there own taste, even in handguns. Keep it short and simple (if possible), my next purchase is I believe a .45 to round out my collection. I'm not Tiger Woods, so please don't suggest a custom 1911 that will only set you back a couple of grand or more. Just a real nice...

I Have Become an Ammo Factory

Am I weird or what, it seems as of late that my urge to get to the Range, is more to bring home more brass to load! Don't get me wrong, I love to shoot but (as a newbie) have come to really enjoy the reloading process as well. This forum has taught me a lot. I never would have thought...

    Powder Disk need customizing

My Lee Pro Auto Powder setup, was driving me nuts. Loading .40SW with 180gr LTCFP, on Accurate #5 with the receipe calling for 5.6 start to 6.0 max loads. The Lee disk, using the .37 would always throw a 5.4 quite often, and the .40 would always throw a 6.2 often. Finally got fed up, and found...

    Lost Another One

Well, there goes the Rusk Gun Shop, been in business in our town since 1950's, bought by present owner family in 1964. Then, our liberal City in 74' passes a law NO HANDGUN SALES, so they relocate to a area not in the city limits. Works fine for many years, until the Mall Giants come in, and...

    Reloading casing limits

Other than visual casing defects such as cracks, is there a limitation as to how many times to reload a casing. Do the high caliber handgun casings have a shorter useful lifespan? I would assume loading start loads vs max loads would have a direct bearing on lifespan? Does the condition and...
