    Match Director blues.......

I set up the last match (www.gmps.ws) on Saturday, and shot Sunday with the other 45 competitors. It felt like I didn't really shoot, like I wasn't hardly there. I gathered my focus sufficiently to smoke one good stage (out of five) but for the rest I couldn't tell you what I did. Am I alone...

Made a mess of things: EAA Witness help?

Rusted in grip screw started it; broke it off (I can fix that). So, decided to detail-strip it since I've owned it ten years and never tried. Uh-oh. Anyone with schematics / advice / help? LOL

    Not made of money

For most of us, gear prices can be slightly cost-prohibitive. So, I checked out Gunners Alley, and over a year ago (maybe a bit longer; my years keep getting shorter) I bought from them a Don Hume 'second' leather gunbelt. Paid about $40; service was absolutely superb. Been wearing it every...

C.R.Sam, I THINK YOU'D BE PROUD OF ME

Took the 7.5" 357 Redhawk IPSCing, HKS speedloaders, Sparks HSR. Club (out of state) caters more to the 'run-n-gun' crowd, got some "looks" if you know what I mean, from the 'racy' bunch, like I'm the ugly child. Or the guy who can't do better with his gear. But, I don't think I'll...

    Paper Ammo Only, Please

Just finished checking over my 9x21 Witness (iron sights, factory barrel and two-port comp, EAA Supersight, round trigger, DA/SA) I actually scrubbed my bore bright. Then I had to reset the sight and chrono my competition ammo. Mixed many-fired cases, three different load dates, two (LOL)...

    Once More Into The Breech

Oh boy oh boy oh boy match day today. Wonder what I'll use this time; leaning towards the Caspian in Limited 10, but may use the Witness in 41AE (I LOVE that cartridge), or my 357 Redhawk (I LOVE that gun), or I'll decide when it's time to gear up........bringing six guns.......and WAY more...

    Caution--experimental (speedloader) Work Underway

So I tried the HKS 29 speedloaders with my 45 Colt Redhawk today. Mixed results. IMNSHO some modifications may be required for reliable feed AND ejection (big troubles here; cases sticking to star), and I suggest a long pointy bullet for easy insertion. Pretty sure that I won't be using this...

    Did It Again: Apology Time

To any fellow shooters who I offended with my name-calling, I apologize. No harm was intended. I meant to use humor to make my points, but I (once again) went too far. Don't hold it against me. Tim Gray WESHOOT2@aol.com
