Your thoughts on Colt's 1911 Commander SS

got one cause it sure was purtty... trigger is tough because it hits a resistance point during the pull and I haven't gotten used to it yet. I assume you're talking about the series 80. The pistol has been flawless in its operation from the first day. Have shot perhaps 200 rd through it so far. I just need to practice more on it. I don't believe in buying a new pistol then spending $$$ to have a gunsmith change it up. I use em as they aare outof the box. The pistol has very good balance and will shoot straight when I let it. And its sure purtty.

That resistance you feel might be the sprue mark on the sear-its right in the middle of the contact surface, and you can either shoot it out or polish it to where it doesn't make a difference. Nice pistol.
