There are plenty of favorite gun threads on here but I would like to hear about the 5 favorite rifles that you own or have owned in the past. Mine are:

Springfield P17 sporter in .375 H&H
Puma 92 in .454 Casull
Remington 24 .22LR
Mossberg 146 B .22LR
Savage Model 10 in .358 Winchester

What are yours?

That's easy!
1- Mauser 98 in 22-250 because it shoots little tiny beasties at really long range.
2- Ruger 77 in 7X57 because it is the sweetest shooting, most forgiving rifle.
3- Ruger 77/22 because if I miss, it's my fault.
4- RRA NM AR-15 A4 because I used an M16 for so many years with uncle sam that it's like an extension of me.
5- Mini-Mauser in 223 because no matter how much I love my 22-250, I shoot my 223 more nowadays.

I could list another 5 or 10 I wish I had never gotten rid of, but that would be hijacking the thread. Let's just say that most of them are controlled feed bolt action Mauser rifles in European calibers. And I could list another 5 I am going to build as I have time, also in controlled feed bolt actions.

That's like asking which of my children I love the most.;)

But my Marlin 893 holds a lot of sentimental value. So does my Great Grandfather's side by side Stevens 20 guage.

aw man my brain hurts...................5?...........

Remington 721 in 30-06 with Leupold 3x9 (grandpa's old gun)

Winchester 94 30-30

Ruger Mini14 (I have a few...can't pick a certain one)

Stevens 200 in .223 with a slick trigger, savage wood stock and Leupold 3x9

Ruger 10/22 (I have more accurate and nicer looking .22's but I have owned it since I was 16 and it has shot untold 1000's of rounds and keeps on blastin.

Next time let us pick at least 10!!!!!!! my next five are:

Savage 340 in 30-30 ugly as sin but just feels right

Polish AK47 underfolder

Browning BL22

Savage 99 in 300 savage

Marlin 25n in 22lr with a Luepold 2x7 shoots little groups and last week about 200 sage rats!!!!!

Marlin 336 (any 336 will do, but a Texan carbine would be the pick, especially if I could find one in .35 Remington...) Mine is a .35 but not a strait stock carbine.

Ruger GB, blue, 5.56. Mine shoots real nice(which supprises me!), and it's stock. Not a dimes tinkering with it.

Ruger 10/22. Mine has a Ram-line .22 barrel, Williams peep sight, and it must weigh 3.5 lb at the most.

Ruger Compact .308 M77 (actually any M77 would do to!)

Remington M700 30-06. It has class and it shoots hard and strait. Mine is a ADL that goes back many years.

2. Bushmaster XM15 E2 20", 5.56x45mm, with Sightron S2 1.5-6x42mm

5. Savage 110, .270 win, with Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x40mm

Honorable mentions go to model 96 Swedish mauser with sniper p-grip, Swiss K31, Sporterized U.S. 1917 "Enfield" in .30-'06 with Sightron S2 3-9x40mm, Puma 92 in .454, Armalite AR-10 in .308, Marlin 60 .22lr w/Trijicon Accupoint 1.24-4x24mm, & CZ 452 Luxe .22lr.

mrawesome, you don't have to pick shotguns like the stevens 20 ga - this is only rifles...so you get to pick one more rifle in place of the shotgun! :)
