Yeah, I'm a redneck!

Well, I ran across a cheap JayPee duty holster I picked up at a yard sale a while back and the wheels started turning. I still don't have a holster for my S&W 4046 and it somehow fit perfectly into that old low ride K frame holster??? I cut the belt loop off right at the mouth of the holster, made two straps from some leather scraps I had laying around, attatched the straps and snaps to the holster and finally trimmed the bottom of the holster closer to the muzzle of the 4046. I now have a comfortable and surprisingly very concealed IWB holster! I know, I'm a cheap ass, but it works out sometimes.

Definition of a Redneck:

"If you have ever said, "You know, that'd make a good (fill in the blank).", while holding up something that was obviously not intended for your newfound use."

See Neal Boortz's Redneck Scrapbook for a giggle or five...

Altering a holster to fit a different gun …it’s economical …no reference to coat hangers, baling wire or duct tape … how is that redneck?
Maybe I can’t see it ‘cause I am one.:D

making an improvised holster out of cardboard and duct tape …then using it for THREE YEARS ! …now that’s redneck. (not me, but a guy I know)

One I am guilty of: folding over the end of a soft case and duct taping it in place ... to fit a shorter rifle.

No duct tape this time. Here is a cell pick to keep this on topic.

Well, it ain’t pretty, but it looks like an "inside the pants" rig, so that’s OK. A lot of stuff inside the pants doesn’t need to be pretty. ;)
