My ...usual... 45 loads are reduced loads that I use in my Colt Gold Cup.
I also have a Government model but hadn't tried any of my pipsqueak wadcutters in it.

So today... I switched recoil springs and took out the Govt with the light WC loads....
..................and.....................
It functioned with them PERFECTLY.

HOORAY!
Ejected brass falling right at my feet never happens with factory hardball ammo.

That Govt model is gonna get shot a ....LOT... more.

3.5 gr Bullseye 185 gr wadcutter.

Full wadcutter or semi-wadcutter ?
Which make ... I enjoy light target loads in 1911 but have trouble getting wadcutters to function ...feed . Which Wadcutter you get to work ?

You may have to radius the feed ramp with a half-inch stone to get full wadcutters to feed. I did and can manually cycle empty cases through mine with no problem.

As long as they cycled reliably. But even with light loads I prefer them to toss the cases a little. 2 to 3 ft to the right....
