1927....a school board member/farmer blew up a school, kidnapped another member and shot him...it was either in MI or WI, don't recall

oh yeah, more than 100 kids were killed in the explosion

You have it. 1927, Bath, Michigan. Dynamite explosions. "Only" 45 killed..37 of them students, most under 10 years old.
