Wolff guide rod/recoil spring set

I ordered the above for my 29 Glock (17 lb.). The install is straight forward, however, it came with 3 springs, one for the forward rod, one for the rear guide rod and one of a smaller diameter. The diagram/instruction makes no reference regarding the smallest spring. Does anyone care to offer insight into this third spring's application?

Thank-you, it appears a bit "robust" for that application. As the kit is supposed to address the recoil assembly, it's possible the 3rd spring may be internal to the aft rod. I haven't gotten back to the project, yet, but I'll inform the forum of my results.

I think Wolff also provides firing pin/striker spring replacements with their sets.

Mosin called it correctly. I spoke with Wolff, today. The extra spring is a striker replacement spring with a recommendation for replacement every 2500-3500 rounds.
