Wolf Reloads

Has anyone reloaded the Wolf 45 ACP steel shells?
Other than using carbide resizing dies anything else special. These are once fired and are close in size to the original factory ones.

Sounds like a very dangerous experiment. Aren't they Berdan primed anyway?

Rather than wear out a 25 or 30 dollar set of dies why not order 25 or 30 dollars worth of brass. In my experience 45 ACP brass lasts very well. I've pick up a lot of once fired brass at ranges for free.

Nope, Wolf .45 is Boxer primed. The steel cases aren't as springy however, so they may not hold the bullet. You'll tear your dies up,too. Pick up some range brass.
I've also "reloaded" the Wolf 7.62x39 by pulling the bullets and replacing them with commercial softpoint, then recrimping with a Lee FCD. It's actually cheaper than reloading brass cases.

i loaded some of the 1940's steel military ammo just to say i did but i do recall that sizing was tough going-----the wolf appear to be thinner---who knows--just may work but i bet they'll still be tough on the carbide sizer////////Dick
