OK i just got a big suprise on my Winchester model 94 in 32 Special I had always assumed it was a Post 64 It had what I thought was a really high serial number 17148XX I bought it about 10 years ago for $50 It is what I would call severe Pitting on all exsposed surfaces with about 10-20 percent of the original blueing left on the gun. I was woundering the aproxamate value of this rifle and if its manufactor date was really 1950? Sorry Pictures are unavailbe as I need to Buy a new Digital camera

According to my sources, the manufacturing date was in fact 1950.

Yes, pre-'64 Model 94's bring more than the post-64 ones, but I am afraid yours, due to its condition, is not worth a lot more now than it was when you bought it, allowing for inflation. If the barrel inside is OK and the gun is fully functional, it will make a good deer rifle and one that can be used without concern about damaging a collector's item.
