What is the general consensus as to the suitability of the new Winchester 1873s made by Miroku for standard .357 rounds as purchased in your average gun store. (Winchester, Remington, etc. 125gr hollow points for example.)

Obviously, the Miroku made guns are considerably stronger than an original 73 due to metallurgical advances, but what concerns me is the that 73 is still an inherently weak design.

All comments and insights are welcome.

^^^^ That's what I was hoping, but I still had some concerns about the relatively weak action of the 73. I don't think I would get crazy making super hot reloads for it, but I was still wondering about some of the standard 125gr HPs that tend to run a little hot.

The gun is proofed for standard SAAMI-spec pressures in the caliber.
Don't reload hot.

Also, don't expect that model to hold up as long as lower-pressured calibers like the .45 Colt WITH LONGTERM EXTENDED SHOOTING.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT'LL WEAR OUT IN 50 ROUNDS!!!!!
Don't read any more into what I say than what I say. :)
