My good friend tells me that his business partner has a 30-30 for sale and it's cheap. He procedes to tell me this story.
Says his business partner loaned a man some money several years ago, and the man put up a 30-30 for collateral. Time goes by and the man never pays my friends partner his money, so he has this winchester 94 that he doesn't need. He'd put it in a closet and there it sat until I purchased it for $100 today.
The wood has only one small scratch, about 1/2 in long and the blueing is about 85% or so.
What a deal. I have just spent the first part of the afternoon cleaning and oiling it, and it is looking better and better.
I generally collect only milsurp but the price on this Winchester was just too good to pass up.
If any of you are familiar with the Winchester 94, please let me know all that you can about them.
