I was shooting my Model 66 today and tried out some HSN and Ultramax. Both were very smokey and it turned my stainless steel handgun into a black smudge. At one point I was doing a quick series of double taps and the target was hidden behind a cloud of smoke. What causes the smoke clouds and all the soot. Is it unburnt powder? What type of powder are these brands using?
