Why and when did Federal Change the EFMJ ammo?
I liked of the original Federal EFMJ ammo in 9MM and 45 ACP, which weighed 124 and 200 gr respectively.
I was surpised that Ferderal changed them to 105 and 165 gr. I have been too busy for awhile now to keep up to date on my firearms research.
The original 124 gr EFMJ's matched the velocity of standard 124 gr FMJ ammo, making inexpensive practice easy. I do not reload so I have to use store bought ammo. The 200 gr 45's were ahrder to find a match for, but the 200 gr CCI Blaser HP's came close.
As far as I can tell, no one manufactures FMJ ammo in these sizes.
