Recently, I added a Surefire Z2X light to my Spikes Tactical AR. This is the rifle that I set up for HD, and found that it also makes a dandy night time hog hunting rifle.

Nice set up. I'm building a simple rifle like that right now and my upper should be here tomorrow. My others are railed with optics so I figured I need a M4 clone with carry handle and A2 sight. However, I agree that a light is an important accessory. What's your mount set up and do you have pics from both sides? Thanks.

If surefire makes it, it's a good choice. I have an x300 on mine

BillyJack, I am not sure what the mount is. My Brother in Law gave it to me earlier this year. It is a small rail, that attaches to the front sight post. The ring has an insert to fit the Surefire light.
When I hold the rifle, my left thumb is naturally in position to push the on switch, so there was no need to modify my hold.
